THE SLAPS BEFORE THE HUGS LONG SLEEVE TEE

Printed on a long sleeve 6.5 oz “Imperfect Blank” by LA APPAREL made and printed in the USA. We took this approach to follow OCD CLEANERS method of up-cycling and focusing on sustainability as a practice.

This is the second installment of the SLAPS & HUGS collective featuring Ayun Bassa, Jacob Rochester, and Isaiah Bond. All artist in their respective mediums ranging from rap, music production, design, and clothing.

The project is pretty straightforward in its meaning but is open for interpretation. No matter who you are life will throw punches (SLAPS) and on the opposite end of the spectrum show you love (HUGS). The title of of this project and Ayunn’s latest project “THE SLAPS BEFORE THE HUGS” is a flip on the meaning. You must endure pain to reap the rewards of life. A statement everyone can relate to pursuing their dreams.

Not everything passes our quality control process. But we believe that even imperfect garments deserve love.
These shirts may have slight imperfections such as:

• Color Variation
• Minor Marks
• Off-Spec Stitching
But these imperfections are what make them unique. They're a reminder that every garment is handmade, and that no two shirts are exactly alike.
